There are huge benefits for young people on a school ski trip but we don’t forget you – the Party Leader. Whether it’s your first trip or tenth, we are focused on making the process as straight forward as possible, allowing more time to focus on getting the most out of the experience.
Teacher Portal (My Equity)
Our unique new teacher portal 'My Equity' makes booking and planning your trip easier, with everything you need all in one place.
Once you’ve requested a quote, you’ll be able to create an account and login as often you need, taking advantage of the following features:
- All your documents centralised, so you won’t have to trawl through your emails
- Your party’s passenger information can be stored safely and updated as you go
- Your invoices, payment schedule and statement of account
- Detailed accommodation, resort and piste information
- Promotional materials to launch your trip and attract students
- Local maps and weather reports
- Your Equity contact details are easy to find
We recognise the importance of undertaking a pretour inspection visit to your destination in order to risk assess and familiarise yourself with the resort, as such we organise a range of visits throughout the season.
Group Visits: Hosted by our knowledgeable staff, group inspection visits are a great way to experience a number of resorts and accommodations, swap tips and ideas with other teachers and, of course, ski! Register for our e-newsletters and we'll let you know when our next visit dates are announced!
Individual Visits: Should a group inspection visit not meet your requirements, we can also assist by organising a bespoke trip for you and a colleague. Trips are usually offered over long weekends either before Christmas or during the low season in January and March.
Equity are delighted to assist towards the costs of inspection visits, SCO’s and ASCL’s in order to contribute to the professional development of our Party Leaders. Contributions are offered based on a number of criteria, including the group size, dates of travel, destination and a number of other aspects of your booking. Speak to our team for more details. Please note that whilst we welcome and encourage customers to attend both the ASCL and an inspection visit, we are only able to contribute towards the costs of one trip.
Snowsports Course Organiser programme
We offer our Party Leaders something more and provide the opportunity for our Party Leaders to complete the ‘Snowsport Course Organiser’. This course has been developed by Snowsport England to give teachers and youth leaders the necessary skills to facilitate a snow-sports trip for young people.
Call our team on 01273 622 111 to secure your place!
The Alpine Sports Course Leader (ASCL)* Award
A week-long intensive course which qualifies successful candidates to lead and supervise a party of their students on snow, without the need for an instructor to be present.
* In order to complete the course you must be a competent skier. It is unlikely that this standard will have been reached with less than 6 weeks skiing experience.
Launch your ski trip
We understand that in the early stages of booking a trip with a tour provider, it’s key to drum up interest for your trip within your establishment; first to be given the go ahead and then to get the numbers necessary to make it viable.
Here you have direct access to Letter templates, Savings Cards and Forms, as well as links to promotional materials to help advertise your tour to pupils. If you would like a powerpoint presentation to help promote your trip please contact your Regional Travel Advisor who will be able to provide this to you.

School Skiing in the USA
USA resorts are far quieter than those in Europe, meaning no lift-queues and more time actually skiing. Tuition is exceptional with friendly instructors delivering fun and engaging lessons designed to get the best out of every skier, whatever their ability.
Even the snow is different, from the ‘corduroy’ glade skiing in the East to the ‘champagne powder’ of the Rockies. Trailgrooming in America is practically an art-form, and our resorts all benefit from plentiful snowfall and state-of-the-art snowmaking machines to ensure great conditions throughout the season.
Our USA tours are tailor-made to your specifications, and our all-inclusive prices offer excellent value for money. Contact us today, and let us help plan your school’s trip of a lifetime.

The East Coast is lined with some of the best ski resorts in North America, offering the ultimate ski experience. New Hampshire offers our groups the perfect combination of great skiing, tax free shopping, first class customer service, choice and excellent value.
Our featured East Coast New Hampshire resorts are situated within the White Mountain National Forest and accommodation is a short transfer to the mountain for skiing each day.
Our New Hampshire Ski Safari allows groups ski two resorts during their week –where the logistics are handled beautifully by our resort partners so that your pupils receive consistency in their skiing development and your transition between mountains is seamless!
New England skiing is typified by tree-lined glade skiing and well-groomed ‘corduroy’ pistes, and the resorts are much quieter and friendlier than many European resorts. Whilst its location close to both Boston and New York mean a greater choice of flights, shorter transfers and of course a shorter flying time from the UK than the western resorts.
School Skiing in Canada
Skiing in Canada offers a real sense of wilderness, wherever you are – partly due to the sheer scale of the country and partly due to the spectacular locations and views.
Canada certainly offers a wide range of scenery, from arctic tundra, vast pine forests and glacial mountains to great waterways, colossal lakes and endless prairies. It also boasts true wild-life – you might not spot humpback whales or grizzly bears on your trip, but there’s a reasonable chance you might see moose or hear wolves!
Ski here and you’ll surely understand why so many Canadians embrace nature and treat the outdoors as such a special place.

Quebec was originally founded by settlers from France. Canadian French is the main language, and everything from cuisine to architecture has echoes of the old country, with a North American twist. Café culture and bistros can be found throughout the region, whilst European style churches and colonial buildings are easily identifiable.
The mountains close to Quebec City are home to numerous ski resorts, making it the perfect destination for a ski safari. From our accommodation in Mont Sainte Anne you have access to both the Mont Sainte Anne and Le Massif resorts. Both are vibrant ski resorts with deserved reputations for their modern ski facilities, excellent snow records and stunning views.
Quebec Ski Safari: Ski both Mont Sainte Anne and Le Massif, two fantastic Canadian resorts, in the same week whilst staying at one hotel.
Get ready for your ski trip with Chemmy Alcott!
We hope you’re excited to embark on your Equity school ski trip. Whether most of your students are first-timers or have been before, we recommend getting fit and ready for the slopes by doing some exercises.
Four-time Olympian and Equity ambassador Chemmy Alcott knows exactly the type of physical impact skiing can have on certain areas of the body. It’s important to build up specific muscles before you get to the slopes so you can spend more time on the mountain.
Chemmy has said, "Physically preparing to ski before you hit the snow helps you get the very most out of your holiday - from helping you to ski longer and taking less breaks to helping minimise the possibility of injury. It doesn't have to be boring or time consuming - check out my video for evidence!"
Europe’s highest Alpine town Briançon is known for its maze of medieval streets, friendly atmosphere and World Heritage landmarks. Distinct from other ski resorts, this working town has a local theatre, choice of cinemas and several museums – one specialising in ski history. France’s first ski school was established here in 1902 and the ancient old town is a historic place for students to explore, with its sundials, cobbled streets and UNESCO-listed walls.
After a day on the slopes, there’s plenty to keep your group entertained. Students love the waterfalls and slides at the indoor fun pool, or you could cheer on a team at the local ice-hockey rink. There’s also sightseeing and shopping in the town itself, plus a choice of in-house activities, from group games and discos to relaxing film nights.
Briançon’s ski area sits in a south-facing valley beneath stunning peaks in the Ecrins National Park. Set at the far end of the Serre Chevalier piste network, it has a reputation for sunny weather. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, there are easy greens to practice your turns on, while the challenging ‘Vauban’ red run brings confident skiers all the way back into town.
At higher altitude, the views are breathtaking and, with greens and blues above the tree line, even beginners can enjoy the best scenery. Lower down, tree-lined slopes meander through a beautiful, protected forest area.
- 250km of piste
- Central location in the heart of the famous resort of Serre Chevalier
- Fantastic communal areas including a sun terrace
- Dedicated Club Customer Service staff
- Free WiFi access in all communal areas for party leaders
The hotel is ideally situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in Serre Chevalier Chantermerle, next door to the brand new telecabine ratier lift, which will take you to the main ski area - excellent for beginner skiers as they are able to get up the mountain and back down in safety. The ski area of Serre Chevalier is a bit of a hidden secret. Regularly rated in the top 10 in Europe, it has a superb mix of high alpine motorway skiing, tree runs, gentle plateaus as well as Olympic standard pistes. Entertainment including a bowling alley, ice rink, local shops, restaurants and bars are all conveniently within 5-10 mins walking distance from the Club.
Bedrooms are located across three floors and all have full en-suite facilities. The majority of rooms accommodate 3-6 students. Adults are accommodated in twin, double or triple rooms. We strive to ensure that individual groups are roomed close together, making supervision much easier. The hotel facilities include a large reception, dining and relaxing lounge area with a private bar and a sun terrace overlooking the Luc Alphand piste and the ski area.
Breakfast: Your buffet breakfast includes cereal, croissants, breads, cold meats and cheeses and a selection of jams.
Lunch: Lunch is a buffet or two courses, perhaps soup or pasts followed by dessert, cheese or fruit.
Dinner: Three courses consisting of a starter, main and dessert.
