Famed for the most dependable snow in the eastern seaboard and a vertical drop rivalling that of Aspen Colorado, Sunday River is a great choice for your school ski trip. First-class ski school, fantastic customer service and excellent snow record are just some of the reasons our school groups love Sunday River.
With 132 groomed trails covering 743 acres over 8 interconnecting mountains, this large resort delivers mountains of possibility for all levels of skiers. Standards from beginner to enthusiastic intermediate are happiest here as every peak offers an easy route down, but there are some double-black diamond runs to test the truly daring!
Off the mountain, there’s an exciting après-ski programme to enjoy, including the bowling, tubing and multi-school disco. Bethel is just a few miles away for further aprés-ski activities.

Skiing
With skiing across eight peaks, there’s plenty to get excited about at Sunday River. Novices start out in the dedicated ‘learn to ski’ area, making fast progression on the forgiving slopes.
Ideal for mixed ability groups, every peak has an easy or more challenging route down and the miles of gentle trails give improvers just enough challenge while they build confidence and new skills. For the adventurous, choose from four terrain parks and two halfpipes, or challenge yourself on the steep narrow black runs winding through the trees.
