Banff & Lake Louise

Skiing in Banff and Lake Louise offers visitors world-class ski resorts set amidst stunningly beautiful backdrops. Located in Banff National Park, a protected UNESCO Heritage Site full of scenic glaciers and dramatic waterfalls, there are three individual ski areas that make up the ‘Ski Big 3’ – Mt Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise.

Terrain ranges from an abundance of wide, easy slopes to some of the Rockies most challenging territory offering variety for all level of skier.

The town of Banff offers great après-ski including a cinema and a Canadian 5-pin bowling alley. There are also the famous thermal hot springs a short bus ride away, and 3 shopping malls in Banff that stay open until 9pm.

Skiing

The ‘Ski Big 3’ resorts are famed for their amazing snow records and combined skiable terrain of over 7,700 acres and 274 runs. Our groups usually ski two days in Lake Louise, two days in Banff Sunshine and 1 day at Mount Norquay.  Instructors stay with the group whatever resort they are skiing.

Lake Louise offers unparalleled skiing, riding and an exceptional layout – there are green, blue and black runs from the summit of every lift and on all sides of the mountain, so even novices can move around the resort with confidence. Family-friendly Mt Norquay is just minutes from Banff town, while Sunshine Village is Canada’s highest elevated resort and is located on the border of British Colombia and Alberta.
